"Riding with your friends is the best."— DEAN "BLOTTO" GRAY, BURTON PRINCIPAL PHOTOGRAPHER
THIS MONTH'S FEATURE — Top 5 women shredders of all time, ranked.
The most decorated halfpipe rider in Olympic history — medals across four straight Games, still competing at the top level decades in.
Australia's biggest halfpipe name — Olympic gold in Vancouver, X Games titles, and a crossover career that made her a household name at home.
Youngest woman to win Olympic halfpipe gold, at just 17 — then came back and defended the title in 2022.
The most decorated slopestyle rider ever — back-to-back Olympic gold in 2014 and 2018, still a threat on any contest slope.
Olympic halfpipe gold and silver medalist who turned her winnings into Hannah's Gold, a maple syrup charity funding clean water projects.

BURTON SNOWBOARDS PRINCIPAL PHOTOGRAPHER
Every month, Cream hands the mic to someone who's actually shaped the culture. First up: Blotto — the guy behind more Burton catalog spreads, ad campaigns, and rider portfolios than almost anyone alive.
He picked up a camera out of necessity, shooting product photos for a small snowboard shop because there was no budget for a real photographer. Burton hired him in 1999, and he's been on the road roughly 300 days a year ever since — halfpipe decks, Alaskan heli-drops, and street missions from Tokyo to San Francisco.
The nickname goes back further than snowboarding: he picked it up skateboarding in Phoenix, long before Burton, long before the Good Book catalogs, long before 25-plus years of being the eye behind the sport's biggest names.

Everything on Cream stays free — that's not changing. We're building a members' tier for the deep archive and early access, but it's not live yet. Get on the list and we'll email you the day it opens (with a founding-member discount).
Gear consults, trip planning, clinics — these are things we could offer, not things we're set up to deliver on demand yet. If you want one, tell us, and we'll follow up directly before anything's a paid booking.
Gear advice, trip planning, a group clinic — describe it and we'll get back to you about whether (and how) we can help.
GET IN TOUCH →We're not quoting sponsorship packages yet — we don't have the traffic to back a price. If you're a brand and want to be first in line once we do, say hello.
Tell us about your brand and what you'd want it to look like. We'll follow up as the site grows.
REACH OUT →Cream may earn a commission on purchases made through links on this site. This never affects what we choose to feature or how we write about it.
